Happy 12th Birthday Trevor!

Today is Trevor birthday he is turning 12 years old. Adam and I was talking about can you believe we have a child that is 12? And next year he'll be a teenager. It's to hard to believe! All the years kind-of seem like a daze!

It all started when our little boy was born January 03, 1997, at Alta View hospital. He weighted 6 lbs 13 oz. and was 20 inches long. I was in labor all day, and would not dilate past a 4, so I ended up having a C-section, and he was finally born at 9:42 p.m. He had blue eyes and blond hair and he had what looked like a little crew-cut. He was already such a stud! For such a little guy starting out so small, he's becoming quite the handsome young man, now he weights 128 lbs and is 5 foot 2 1/2 inches. He's in his last year of grade school. He still loves science, and art. He is very smart and is in the 10th percentile of the nation in the SAT testing. He is at a 8th grade reading/comprehension level. We couldn't be more proud of him!

Happy New Year!

We have a family tradition on my mom's side of the family, that on New Year's Eve Mother Goose comes and leaves you a small gift. So on New Year Day when you wake up, you find a nice surprise. We have done this tradition, every year since the kids have been small. I think they forgot this year. Because by about noon, the kids still did not notice the small packages on the fire place, so I said "hey guys it looks like there is something over on the fire place..." So they finally remembered oh yeah Mother Goose came...It was kindof funny. They both got a movie and a craft set and some gum.

Our wonderful Christmas Holiday!

We had such a great Christmas! The kid's slept in until about 10:00, which was nice because we have all been pretty tired! This year I looked at Christmas as wow it came fast! Way too fast, and I was not even close to being ready! I took 5 days off work for the Christmas Holiday, and another 5 days off for the New Year Holiday. So a day before the huge snow storm, which was about 4 days before Christmas, we took the kids to the Salt Lake Temple to see the lights, it was a perfect night! The night started off by getting an awsome parking place, which was right in front of the south entrance, then it wasn't too cold, it was the warm before a storm feel, it was great we looked at all the lights and took lots lots of pictures. The kids were in a great mood, because they weren't cold. Then Christmas Eve was really cool my kids were so excited when we told then they could open 1 present. (As if they don't know what it will be, its the same thing every year....P.J.'s) They must have forgot, because they eagerly opened their gift. They were surprised and happy it was pajama's, or just really glad that they got to open a present, not caring what it was. They ran to their rooms to put on their new P.J's, then we made cookies for Santa, while watching "A Christmas Story" a family favorite! We stayed up kind-of late, we watched The Breakfast Club before heading off to bed about midnight. In the morning the kids were very excited, they woke us up, to see them open their presents. We also went to lots of movies and lots of parties. It was allot of fun, but I'm also a bit sad and a bit glad it's over. Well until next year! Merry Christmas!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Please don't break your neck!

Trevor & his friend Brady put more snow all over the back steps, and packed it down, then they took out the sleds, snow boards, & tubes, to ride down the steps with. That was the highlight of the past 2 days, and whats kept them busy.

This was Brooke's first piano recital. She was kind-of nervous at first, but she got right up there and did a great job! She played Silent Night & Deck the Halls. Top picture is her teacher Krista Sathre and all her students.
